Real Madrid Poised to Announce Two Key Signings for Alonso This Week

Real Madrid is set to announce the signings of two players this week for their new manager, Xabi Alonso. According to Madrid Zone (via COPE), the newcomers are Álvaro Carreras and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

This follows the recent appointment of Alonso as the club’s head coach.

The Spaniard replaced Carlo Ancelotti as head coach at Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid is eager to strengthen Xabi Alonso’s squad following their loss of the LaLiga title to Barcelona this season.

The Los Blancos were also eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Arsenal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer from Liverpool after choosing not to renew his contract with the Premier League champions.

Meanwhile, Álvaro Carreras is expected to move from Benfica to Real Madrid this summer.
