Dangote Refinery Announces N10 Petrol Refund For Customers
The Dangote Petrochemicals Refinery has quietly reduced the ex-gantry price of petrol to N825 per litre, offering a N10 rebate to marketers after loading.
This adjustment, which effectively lowers the retail price to between N830 and N835 per litre, has given Dangote an edge over importing marketers and private depot owners.
The official said, “The Dangote refinery has started giving a rebate on its products. It’s not an official reduction yet, but paid back after marketers buy products from them.”
Last month, the Dangote refinery reduced its ex-gantry price twice in one week, cutting it by N45 from N880 to N835 per litre, following the restart of the Naira-for-Crude agreement with local refiners.
Attempts to get a response from Dangote spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, on the price reduction were unsuccessful.
