Catholic Priest Abducted by Bandits in Kaduna
Bandits have kidnapped the parish priest of St. Gerald’s Quasi Parish in Kurmin Rizga village, located in the Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Rev. Fr. James Ibrahim was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
According to intelligence sources, a group of armed bandits stormed Kurmin Rizga, firing sporadically before taking Rev. Ibrahim to an undisclosed location.
In response, the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with other security agencies, initiated a search operation to locate and rescue the priest unharmed.
Efforts to apprehend the suspects and secure the priest’s safe return are currently underway.
