Kidnappers Free Kaduna Pastor but Detain Church Official Who Delivered Ransom
Pastor Samson Ndah Ali of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Mararaba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been released by kidnappers after the payment of a ransom.
The kidnappers held the church’s financial secretary, Danjuma, who was tasked with delivering the ransom.
Pastor Ali, aged 30, was abducted from his home on April 8, 2025, just two weeks after his appointment to the church.
The kidnappers initially demanded N100 million as ransom.
However, according to a source, the church official who went to deliver the ransom was held back by the abductors.
“The pastor was freed, but the kidnappers decided to detain the man who brought the ransom. We don’t know why, and the community is in shock,” the source said.
Pastor Ali confirmed his release and the abduction of the church’s financial secretary in a Facebook post.
In the post, he expressed gratitude for his freedom and prayed for the safety and swift deliverance of the church secretary still held in captivity.
