Retired Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently identified the five premier football players in the world. He shared his assessment while working as a pundit for Fox Sports following France’s 3-0 victory over Sweden during the World Cup Round of 32.
Ibrahimovic highlighted the attacking strength of the French national team, selecting Ousmane Dembele, Kylian Mbappe, and Michael Olise as three of his top five choices. He rounded out the list with Norway’s Erling Haaland and Spain’s young talent Lamine Yamal.
Regarding his selections, Ibrahimovic noted that while Lionel Messi exists in a category of his own, the trio playing for France represents a significant tactical advantage. He emphasized the difficulty of assembling such a formidable attacking combination on a single squad.
