Manager Xabi Alonso has selected a 27-player group for Chelsea’s upcoming pre-season journey across Australia and Asia. The team leaves London for Sydney today to begin the series of matches.
The squad will first meet the Western Sydney Wanderers at Accor Stadium on July 28, followed by a match against Tottenham Hotspur at the same location on August 1. From there, the team heads to Hong Kong to play Juventus on August 5, then moves to Jakarta for a game against AC Milan on August 8. The tour wraps up in Malaysia with a contest against Johor Darul Ta’zim on August 9.
The traveling roster consists of goalkeepers Filip Jorgensen, Robert Sanchez, Ted Curd, and Teddy Sharman-Lowe. Defenders include Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo, Aaron Anselmino, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Jorrel Hato, Marco Palestra, Mamadou Sarr, and Tayo Subuloye. The midfield and forward options feature Landon Emenalo, Dario Essugo, Omari Kellyman, Romeo Lavia, Madhi Nicoll-Jazuli, Reggie Walsh, Reggie Watson, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Dastan Satpeyev, and Estevao Willian.
