Wike Credits Tinubu and National Assembly for FCT Infrastructure Success

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike identifies the support of President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly as the primary drivers behind the rapid infrastructure growth within Abuja.

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated on Friday that the FCT Administration’s recent successes are largely due to the backing of President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly. Wike highlighted that the President’s commitment and the swift legislative approval of the FCTA budget were instrumental in advancing citywide infrastructure projects.

These comments were made during the inauguration of access roads leading to the Renewed Hope Cities and estates in Abuja’s Karsana District, an event held to observe President Tinubu’s three-year milestone in office. Representing the President, Senate President Godswill Akpabio attended the ceremony.

Recalling the state of the area before construction began, Wike noted that the region previously lacked any formal roads, making development difficult for investors. Following the contract award to Lubricks in February 2025, the area has undergone a significant transformation. The Minister expressed gratitude to the contractors for their efficiency and confirmed that financial obligations have been met by all sides, ensuring the project reached completion.
