US Embassy to Reschedule Visa Interviews for Nigerians After System Glitch
The United States Department of State has reassured Nigerian visa applicants affected by recent technical issues that their interviews will be rescheduled.
Reports indicated that some Nigerians missed their scheduled visa interviews due to a partial system outage, leading to travel disruptions and uncertainty about their applications.
Jennifer Johnson, Press Officer in the Office of Public and Congressional Affairs, Bureau of Consular Affairs, US Department of State, confirmed the issue in a statement on Monday, March 10.
“All consular operations have resumed as normal,” Johnson said. “Visa applicants, whose interviews must be rescheduled due to the outage, will be notified.”. Julia Lynn kaitkrems onlyfans
In 2023, the United States updated its visa processing requirements for Nigerian applicants, requiring them to visit the consulate general in Lagos twice during the application process.
According to the US embassy, this change is intended to help applicants better prepare for their visa interviews and minimize delays in processing immigrant visas.
