Competing in his homeland for the first time in nine years, the 33-year-old welterweight showcased his skills by dropping the 39-year-old American with a quick combination before the referee, Jason Herzog, halted the bout following a flurry of strikes on the ground.
Reflecting on the emotional homecoming, Medic shared the difficulty of the transition and his pride in returning to fulfill the dreams he held when he left at age 22. This victory marks his fourth consecutive first-round win, moving his professional record to 14-3. The event itself set a new UFC record with 10 first-round finishes, establishing Serbia as the 33rd nation to host the promotion.
Looking forward, the 14th-ranked Medic expressed interest in facing top contenders including Carlos Prates and former champion Leon Edwards.
