Titilayo Akindayomi-Adewale, daughter of Pa Josiah Akindayomi, the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has formally dismissed reports alleging she criticized church leadership over her father’s recognition. In a Monday Facebook post, she labeled these circulating claims as entirely false and urged the public to cease the spread of such inaccuracies.
She clarified that she never authorized the statements attributed to her. According to Akindayomi-Adewale, her father did not value physical monuments or personal status. Instead, he prioritized the spiritual growth of individuals, noting that he was so disinterested in material wealth that he was even hesitant to purchase a personal home during his lifetime.
She argued that linking her father’s legacy to the prominence of his name or image on church buildings contradicts his core values. She suggested that these inflammatory reports are deliberately crafted to foster division within the RCCG and distract from its ongoing mission. Furthermore, she expressed her unwavering support for current General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, while offering prayers for his continued guidance.
