President Bola Tinubu has lauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for ensuring that infrastructure development reaches areas beyond the exclusive zones of Asokoro and Maitama. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima during the commissioning of the 7km Kuje-Gwagwalada dual carriageway, the President noted that Wike has successfully prioritized projects that benefit the general public.
Addressing the crowd, the President highlighted that the newly completed road serves as an essential economic corridor, improving security and facilitating trade for farmers and students who previously struggled with the dilapidated route. The dual carriageway, now equipped with solar street lights, connects various area councils and improves access to Southern Nigeria. Tinubu commended the Minister for his commitment to delivering the administration’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda directly to satellite towns, proving that government progress is not reserved for the wealthy few.
