The Taraba State Police Command successfully located a grey Toyota Highlander that had been reported stolen in Jalingo on Tuesday. The vehicle, which carries the license plate KRM 75 AA, was taken near the Jalingo City Mall at the Road Block area around 8:16 pm.
Following the report of the theft, local police increased surveillance across the city’s main travel routes. According to spokesperson Victor Mshelizah, this enhanced security pressure caused the suspects to ditch the car to escape capture. The vehicle is currently held by the police as investigators work to identify the perpetrators.
Commissioner of Police Moorkwap Sebastian Dongshal praised his officers for their quick reaction. The command remains focused on tracking down those involved in the crime and continues to prioritize public safety. Authorities have also encouraged residents to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
