Lagos State Police officers apprehended a suspected armed robber during a standard patrol in the Igando neighborhood. The individual, identified as 29-year-old Olajunja Segun Samson, was detained after trying to escape alongside two companions on a motorcycle.
SP Abimbola Adebisi, the command spokesperson, noted that the arrest aligns with ongoing regional efforts to suppress criminal activity. When police noticed the three men acting suspiciously, the group attempted to run away. While two suspects managed to escape, officers caught Samson.
A search of the area revealed a homemade pistol and various charms inside the abandoned motorcycle. Samson is currently detained as authorities work to locate his accomplices. Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai praised the team’s professional conduct and reaffirmed the department’s dedication to public safety. He also requested that citizens report any suspicious behavior to help law enforcement maintain order.
