Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is also the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential nominee for the 2027 elections, is set to establish the party’s state presidential and gubernatorial campaign councils this Friday. The ceremony will be held within the conference hall of the governor’s office.
Dr. Nureni Adeniran, the current Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, will take on two major roles: Coordinator for the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General for the Oyo State Governorship Campaign. Joining him, Saheed Arowosaye has been selected to serve as the Deputy State Coordinator for the presidential bid.
The campaign leadership team further includes Demola Ojo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, who will operate as Deputy Director-General for the South. Furthermore, Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal are appointed as Deputy Directors-General representing the Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts. Additional appointments include Ramata Agberemi Dabo as head of the Women’s Wing and Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former youth aide to the governor, as head of the Youth Wing. The party plans to release the names of more council members as it continues to bolster its organizational structure throughout the region.
