Although the incident caused a major delay, Langton was conscious and mobile in his limbs before leaving. Officials confirmed he remained communicative with medical personnel. Following the pause, England was unable to close the gap on Canada, who secured their first gold medal in the event in two decades. Langton had replaced injured Olympian Max Whitlock as a late addition to the squad and missed the podium ceremony due to his hospitalization.
Teammates and competitors expressed shock at the incident.
