This statement was shared by his media aide, Kayode Odunaro, following a meeting with Remoland market leaders in Ilaro.
Adeola addressed criticisms regarding campaign finances, specifically dismissing claims from a former party aspirant who accused him of failing to reimburse expenses after the primary election. The senator labeled these demands as insulting, arguing that they highlight a focus on personal financial gain rather than genuine governance. He noted that the individual in question has since left the APC to join the Peoples Democratic Party.
Reflecting on the situation, Adeola remarked that the motivation of his opponents is clear: they are acting out of frustration and a desire to control state resources. Furthermore, the candidate rejected a legal challenge against his nomination, suggesting that opposing factions are behind the litigation. He also raised concerns about the legal legitimacy of the PDP in Ogun, citing persistent leadership struggles within that organization.
Meanwhile, the Council of Iyalajes and Babaalajes in Remoland, led by Olufunke Oyelaja, has voiced its support for Adeola. The group highlighted his track record of infrastructure projects and support for local traders as key reasons for their endorsement.
