Rotherham United has bolstered its squad by acquiring goalkeeper Julian Eyestone on a loan agreement that spans the entire season. The 20-year-old, who stands at 6ft 6ins, joins from Brentford to aid the Millers in their pursuit of an immediate return to League One following relegation.
A native of Texas and a United States youth international, Eyestone previously spent six years honing his skills at the FC Dallas Academy. Since joining Brentford in 2024, he has gained experience with their Under-21 side and participated in the first team setup, even appearing on the bench during an FA Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday. He also received a call-up to train with the US senior squad during their World Cup preparations this past summer.
As Rotherham prepares for their season opener against Cheltenham Town this Saturday, Eyestone will challenge teammate Ted Cann for the starting goalkeeper role.
