Reform UK has initiated a police complaint against Green Party leader Zack Polanski following an Instagram post that displayed a photograph of a man in a shirt featuring the name “Nigel” next to a guillotine illustration. Polanski had shared the images as part of a collaborative post documenting a Green Party event with his 713,000 followers. The specific image featured a man wearing a shirt with the slogan, “We’re only making plans for Nigel.”
A spokesperson for the Green Party stated that Polanski removed the post immediately upon noticing the offensive content, emphasizing that he does not endorse such dangerous messaging. Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, condemned the post on X, suggesting that he would face arrest for similar conduct and that Polanski should be held to the same standard. Zia Yusuf, the home affairs spokesperson for Reform UK, categorized the post as an act of incitement to murder.
