Igbo Association in Taraba Backs Governor Kefas for 2027 Re-election

The Igbo Community Association in Jalingo has officially endorsed Governor Agbu Kefas for a second term, citing improvements in security, education, and infrastructure as primary reasons for their support.

The Jalingo chapter of the Igbo Community Association (ICA) has formally declared its support for Governor Agbu Kefas to serve a second term in the 2027 election. Deacon Michael C. Adili, President-General of the group, delivered this message to the governor’s re-election campaign team.

Adili highlighted the administration’s progress in key sectors including infrastructure, education, and security. He noted that the region has seen a significant decrease in security threats, which has helped local business activities thrive. Furthermore, he credited the state’s free education initiative with providing vital financial relief to families.

The association specifically lauded road development projects throughout Jalingo and other areas, stating that better transport links are stimulating the state economy. To show their commitment, the ICA promised to encourage its members to register for their Permanent Voter Cards and actively advocate for the governor’s campaign.

Hon. Danladi Baido, representing the re-election council, expressed gratitude for the endorsement. He emphasized that Governor Kefas remains dedicated to fostering inclusive governance and ensuring continued progress for every resident of Taraba State.
