Rabiu Kwankwaso, who served as the running mate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has addressed rumors regarding a potential presidential bid in 2031. During an interview on Monday, he emphasized that his immediate priority is simply reaching that point in time.
Speaking on the Channels Television program Politics Today, Kwankwaso stated that he is currently focused on the future alongside his running mate, Peter Obi. He noted that their political organization is actively implementing specific short and medium-term strategies intended to benefit Nigeria.
When asked directly about his interest in the 2031 election, Kwankwaso indicated that his decisions will eventually depend on the political climate. He reiterated that he and Peter Obi remain committed to their existing roadmap for the nation, viewing these established plans as the primary focus of their current efforts.
