Primate Ayodele sets record straight on 2027 presidential claims

Primate Elijah Ayodele has refuted claims that he predicted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s defeat in 2027, accusing political actors of twisting his words.

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has officially rejected claims that he prophesied a loss for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election. Through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric noted that his remarks are being deliberately distorted by political figures seeking to advance their own agendas.

The controversy stems from a Sunday church service, where the Primate discussed the future election. Ayodele clarified that he specifically remarked, If Tinubu loses the election, it will be painful for him, rather than predicting a definitive defeat for the President. The cleric expressed frustration that this conditional statement was fabricated into a direct prediction of failure.

Addressing the inaccuracies, Ayodele criticized political actors for manipulating his words for personal gain. He emphasized that he has not yet named a winner for the 2027 race and warned those responsible to stop misrepresenting his messages. Furthermore, he encouraged media outlets to prioritize journalistic integrity by verifying quotes with his office before publication, rather than circulating misleading information.
