Tinubu highlighted that Oseni was distinguished by his ambitious work ethic and commitment to progress in both Lagos State and the broader nation. His career included serving as the organizing secretary for the Unity Party of Nigeria in Lagos during the Second Republic, a period during which he helped establish the Lagos State Printing Corporation.
Reflecting on their personal connection, the President noted that Oseni acted as a mentor, colleague, and close friend who played a pivotal role in his early political career. Tinubu credited him with supporting his ascent to the Senate and the Lagos State governorship. He emphasized that their shared experiences during the fight for democratic restoration in Nigeria remain a cornerstone of their long-standing partnership.
