Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, and Rotimi Amaechi, who ran as the vice-presidential nominee for the African Democratic Congress, were recently seen attending the same public function. The two prominent politicians gathered at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Fountain of Life Sanctuary in Ikeja, to participate in a service of songs for Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour.
Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour was the mother of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Lagos State gubernatorial candidate representing the ADC. During the memorial event, Obi and Amaechi were observed talking and embracing. Nkechi became a notable figure during the 2023 election cycle for her efforts to rally support for her son. Following that election, she publicly criticized the process, citing instances of vote buying and condemning security forces for not taking action against those involved.
