Bids for these host cities have reportedly ranged between $500 million and $1 billion.
Anunoby, who recently contributed to a grassroots basketball court renovation in Camden, is currently the most prominent British-born player in the NBA. He views the regional expansion as a major opportunity for growth in London and Manchester. Laura Pinnell, a vice-president at the NBA, confirmed that development remains on track, noting that the UK represents one of the league’s most significant growth prospects.
Beyond his involvement in infrastructure, Anunoby is focused on defending his team’s championship title. As he navigates the off-season in London, he acknowledged the difficulty of repeating as champions in a league that has seen eight different winners over the last eight years. Despite the challenge, he maintains that the Knicks are prepared to compete against all rivals in the upcoming season.
