Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina Out for Three Months With Hamstring Injury

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina is set to be out for up to three months after picking up a hamstring injury during Nigeria’s match against South Africa.

The ex-Chelsea full-back was substituted after just 12 minutes, with Bright Osayi-Samuel taking his place. Reports indicate he will likely be sidelined until late December.

Aina, who has played every minute of Forest’s Premier League season so far, has been left out of the club’s recently submitted Premier League squad due to the injury.

His absence also means he will miss Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic in October, along with a friendly against Venezuela in November.

The 27-year-old now aims to return in time to represent Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in December.
