In a viral live video, Arimoro claimed the incident began after he attempted to leave the set past his agreed contract time. He stated that his call time for the next day was 10 a.m., while his contract for the night was supposed to end by 11 p.m. He alleged that after waiting until midnight, he was blocked from leaving, with Peggy reportedly instructing her driver to prevent his car from moving. Arimoro also shared images of injuries to his gum and lips and claimed that his car tires were deflated during the confrontation.

Peggy Ovire responded to the situation via Instagram stories, presenting her version of events. She accused Arimoro of physically assaulting two crew members after they asked him to complete a couple of short scenes so filming could wrap for the night. According to her, the actor reacted aggressively when the Production Manager approached him, reportedly punching him three times, and also allegedly assaulted her driver, leaving him bleeding from the ear.

The actress explained that Taye had arrived on set around noon and tried to leave without notice as filming extended into the night. She stated that the altercation escalated before she could intervene, emphasizing that her intention in sharing her side was simply to “set the record straight.”
