Nigerian Star Chiamaka Nnadozie Clinches Third Straight African Goalkeeper of the Year Award
Super Falcons and Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been named the 2025 Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third consecutive time.
The prestigious announcement was made at the award ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco.
The 24-year-old Nigerian reaffirmed her status as Africa’s best goalkeeper by surpassing competitors Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco and Andile Dlamini of South Africa.
Nnadozie earned the award based on her exceptional performance at both the club and national levels.
She was instrumental in the Super Falcons securing their 10th WAFCON title, where she recorded four clean sheets and received the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award.
While at Paris FC, she contributed to the team’s victory in the Coupe de France Féminine.
Since moving to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League (WSL), she has continued her outstanding form, earning a Player of the Match debut, the WSL Save of the Month, and the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month awards.
