The Nigerian Flamingos have landed in Lomé, Togo, to prepare for the return leg of their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final qualifying round against the Benin Republic. The team, along with their coaching staff, touched down at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport on Friday and have settled into Hôtel Le Pélican.
Led by coach Akeem Busari, the squad is scheduled for an initial training session this evening. The match is set to take place on Saturday at the Stade de Kegue. Nigeria enters the game holding a slim 3-2 aggregate advantage from the previous encounter. The victor of this matchup will secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Morocco this coming October.
