Granada has officially added Nigerian striker Chinaza Marvellous Onouha Okonyia to their roster. The acquisition of the talented youngster is expected to bolster the club’s offensive capabilities.
Born in 2005, the forward arrives after a standout campaign with UP Plasencia, where he served as a primary catalyst for the team’s ascent. The Cáceres outfit claimed the Primera Extremeña title, earning them a promotion to the Tercera RFEF largely due to Chinaza’s influence.
The striker recorded a prolific 34 goals throughout the season. This figure includes 23 league goals, seven in the Copa Extremadura, and four during the promotion playoffs. His league performance was particularly efficient, matching his appearance count of 23 matches with 23 goals.
Upon his arrival at Granada, Chinaza is slated to begin with the reserve squad, where management hopes his scoring prowess will address the attacking deficiencies observed during the previous campaign.
