Nelly Korda and Charley Hull to compete at the Women’s Open

Charley Hull and world number one Nelly Korda headline the 50th Women’s Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s this week.

Charley Hull is set to begin her pursuit of a maiden major title at the 50th Women’s Open Championship, held at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s this Thursday. The 30-year-old, who has secured five runner-up finishes in prestigious tournaments, will play alongside Hannah Green and Brooke Henderson.

World number one Nelly Korda enters the tournament aiming to secure her third major of the 2026 season. She is scheduled to tee off alongside Ryu Haeran and 2024 champion Lydia Ko. Korda and Ryu are both in contention to join an elite group of players who have achieved three major wins in a single year.

Georgia Hall, the 2018 champion at this venue, returns to action following the birth of her first child. She will compete in a group with Hinako Shibuno. Coverage of the event will be available through the BBC, including daily highlights and live final-round broadcasting on Sunday.
