Muhammad Hamisu Named National Secretary for OK Movement for 2027 Cycle

The OK Movement has selected cybersecurity expert Muhammad Hamisu as National Secretary as part of a series of recent leadership appointments for the 2027 elections.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the OK Movement has officially designated Muhammad Hamisu as its new National Secretary. The organization shared this update via their official X account this Wednesday.

Dr. Hamisu is recognized for his background in cybersecurity and his active role within the Kwankwasiyya Movement. The group highlighted his commitment to national service, inclusive leadership, and local development as key reasons for his selection.

This appointment marks the third major leadership change for the movement this week. Recently, the organization named Peter Ameh, former Inter-Party Advisory Council chairman, as their National Director-General. Additionally, Sam Amadi, who heads the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, was appointed to lead the Advisory Council. The OK Movement serves as a political coalition for supporters of presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
