In a statement released on Wednesday, the artist clarified his position and accepted full accountability for the offense caused. He emphasized that his words did not reflect a hatred for Nigerian culture or specific linguistic groups. He particularly addressed claims regarding the Igbo language, asserting that his original comment referred to the concept of national languages broadly and was misrepresented by some individuals to imply a targeted insult against his own heritage.
