Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, recently appealed to All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Niger State to prioritize reconciliation and cooperation to bolster the party and the nation’s democratic processes.
The Minister spoke on Saturday during a gathering of party stakeholders organized by Niger State Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago at the Government House in Minna. He encouraged those present to set aside disagreements to focus on the collective welfare of the party and the country.
Idris emphasized that political friction should not hinder the advancement of the state. He advocated for unity and mutual responsibility, noting that democracy functions best when personal ambition is secondary to the public good. He further highlighted that the future success of the APC relies on open dialogue and internal harmony.
Acknowledging Governor Bago for organizing the session, Idris described the meeting as a vital step toward reconciling members and reaffirming the values of the party. He concluded by asking the public to remain supportive of President Tinubu and Governor Bago as they pursue development initiatives for the citizens.
