Soldiers under Operation Hadin Kai successfully captured a suspected terrorist collaborator during a targeted mission in the Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Security analyst Zagazola Makama announced the arrest on the social media platform X.
Authorities identified the individual as Alhaji Sule Bako. He was taken into custody around 11:40 a.m. on August 5 in Dzangola Kilba based on reliable intelligence that connected him to insurgent groups active in the region. The 232 Battalion conducted the mission as part of Operation Desert Sanity V, an initiative focused on counter-insurgency efforts throughout the North-East.
The suspect surrendered without resistance and is currently held by military personnel for questioning. This interrogation is part of a broader investigation into his potential ties to extremist networks. Such captures are central to the strategy of Operation Hadin Kai, which seeks to eliminate local support systems—including logistics providers and informants—that sustain militant operations.
