Michael Aondoakaa formally handed PDP governorship ticket for Benue 2027

Former Attorney-General Michael Aondoakaa has officially received his PDP Certificate of Return to contest the 2027 Benue State governorship election.

Chief Michael Aondoakaa, a former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, secured his Certificate of Return on Wednesday. The document confirms his status as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2027 Benue State gubernatorial contest.

The presentation occurred at the party’s national headquarters in Wadata Plaza, Abuja. Aondoakaa appeared alongside his running mate, Dr. Oyije Ochaekiti Ogbenjuwa, with several high-ranking Benue PDP officials present to show their support.

After the ceremony, Aondoakaa expressed his gratitude to the party hierarchy. He promised to focus on party reconciliation and voter mobilization. He emphasized his commitment to winning back Benue State for the PDP in the upcoming election.

During the same proceedings, the former First Lady of Benue State, Dr. Eunice Ortom, also collected her Certificate of Return. She is the party’s official candidate for the Benue North-West Senatorial seat.
