A large-scale annual gathering at the national headquarters of The Apostolic Church Nigeria in Ketu, Lagos, is creating significant transit delays. The resulting heavy volume of vehicles and pedestrians has caused a traffic backup that stretches from the Ogudu–Toll Gate area past the NNPC Filling Station all the way to Iyana Oworo.
Data provided by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) indicates that the influx of attendees has hampered movement near the church location. While traffic flow remains steady from Gbagada Bridge toward Car Wash and Ogudu, the congestion remains a persistent issue near the convention site.
To bypass the delays, LASTMA suggests that drivers utilize the Gbagada–Oworonshoki Expressway as an alternative path. Officials have been dispatched to the scene to regulate vehicle flow and alleviate the pressure. Meanwhile, routes originating from Ojota Bridge toward the Toll Gate and Otedola Bridge are experiencing normal conditions. Authorities are calling on commuters to remain patient and follow the instructions of personnel on the ground.
