Global mobility provider inDrive has named influencer and media figure Kiekie as its inaugural Chief Wahala Officer. This initiative aims to spotlight the persistent difficulties residents face while navigating Lagos, including severe traffic and unreliable transportation services.
The role was filled after a viral recruitment drive that saw over 450 Nigerians apply to represent the brand. As part of her new responsibilities, Kiekie will use the #inDriveCWO hashtag to invite locals to discuss their commuting struggles, fostering a community dialogue about the city’s transport landscape.
Timothy Oladimeji, the Country Manager for inDrive Nigeria, stated that selecting Kiekie aligns with the company’s goal of using relatable personalities to mirror the lives of their users. He noted that her authenticity and humor are ideal for addressing the daily frustrations of Lagos travel.
Kiekie expressed her enthusiasm for the position, stating that she intends to make the conversation surrounding city mobility more engaging. She playfully assured residents that she is ready to help tackle their ride-hailing and delivery concerns. With over 400 million downloads, inDrive continues to focus on its mission of providing fair pricing and community-focused solutions across 48 countries.
