Kevin Akpoguma has officially moved to Italian club Frosinone on a permanent basis. The 31-year-old defender finalized a contract that runs until June 30, 2028, after joining the team as a free agent.
This transfer follows his departure from the Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim, where he was released in June after his contract expired. Having spent 13 years with Hoffenheim since arriving from Karlsruher SC in 2013, this move marks the first time in his professional career that he will compete outside of Germany.
During his tenure at Hoffenheim, the Nigerian center-back made 175 league appearances and scored three goals. His career also included loan spells with Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hannover 96. Internationally, Akpoguma represented Germany as a youth player before deciding to play for Nigeria in 2020. He has since earned eight caps for the Super Eagles.
