African Democratic Congress official Kenneth Okonkwo stated that Atiku Abubakar identified his potential and value. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Okonkwo expressed that he felt abandoned by former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi.
This statement followed his recent appointment as a spokesperson for Atiku. Okonkwo clarified that he formally severed ties with Obi in 2024, concluding that the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate lacked the necessary decisiveness for leadership. He emphasized that he had identified specific traits in Obi that he deemed unsuitable for the presidency of Nigeria. Okonkwo maintained that he acted transparently by informing the public that he was no longer associated with Obi, and he insists that he was the victim of betrayal in their professional relationship.
