Kebbi Governor Suspends Health Commissioner Over Viral Hospital Videos
Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has ordered the immediate suspension of the state’s Commissioner for Health, Yunusa Musa Ismail, following viral videos exposing the poor condition of hospitals across the state.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahayya Sarki, confirmed the move in a statement released on Thursday, September 11.
According to the statement, the suspension was prompted by allegations of negligence and failure to perform official duties. The governor has directed the Commissioner to submit a detailed explanation for the situation, and the suspension will remain in place until further notice.

The decision follows widespread criticism on social media, where influencers shared videos highlighting the alarming state of public health facilities in Kebbi.
