Katsina United Refutes Rumors Regarding Player Chinedu Ozor’s Alleged Revival

Katsina United clarifies that reports of player Chinedu Ozor returning to life after being declared dead are false and requests public sensitivity.

Katsina United has officially denied circulating reports claiming that their player, Chinedu Ozor, was revived after being pronounced dead and transported to a mortuary. The incident occurred on Tuesday when Ozor, a new signing for the club, collapsed during a pre-season match against Niger Tornadoes FC at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Following his collapse, the club confirmed his death and shared condolences. However, later that evening, journalist Prince CJ reported that the athlete showed movement at the morgue, leading to claims that he was rushed back to the hospital for treatment. Katsina United’s media team has since labeled these claims as false.

The club explained that the family, struggling with grief, requested additional medical confirmation prior to moving the body to the morgue. This request for verification was misinterpreted as a sign of life. Katsina United has asked the media and the public to stop spreading misinformation and to respect the mourning period for the player and his family.
