Spokesperson Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa confirmed the move, noting the governor’s concern over how drug misuse negatively impacts youth, destabilizes families, and undermines the local economy.
This initiative will utilize intelligence, strict enforcement, and public education to address the crisis. The government is committed to supplying the necessary resources, including funding, logistical support, and vehicles, to ensure the group operates effectively. Furthermore, the state is scaling up its rehabilitation efforts, having already opened dedicated centers for both men and women.
To support public safety, the executive order is designed to break up criminal syndicates and mitigate political unrest. Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, the task force chairman, committed to executing these duties with professionalism. His team plans to collaborate with religious figures, traditional leaders, and local residents to restore order and ensure the safety of the state.
