Leaders of the African Democratic Congress in Jigawa State are calling on members to stay alert and guard their ballots during the 2027 general elections. They argue that securing every vote is essential for the party to achieve victory. This appeal was issued on Saturday in Dutse at the ADC State Campaign Secretariat during the launch of the Jigawa chapter of the Waziri Mobilisation Network, a group backing the presidential aspirations of Atiku Abubakar.
Alhaji Yakubu Nakudu, who addressed the assembly, encouraged the party faithful to show loyalty, discipline, and dedication as the election cycle approaches. He maintained that success depends as much on protecting the integrity of the results as it does on gathering voter support. Nakudu emphasized that supporters must be involved in every stage, from casting ballots to ensuring they are officially recorded and counted.
The event also included the induction of the network’s leadership team, with Muhammed Kamilu appointed as state coordinator and Haruna Sale Gumel as secretary. Additionally, Aliyu Yunusa Ringim, Mohammad Deni Hadejia, and Mariya Usman Kazaure took on roles in youth leadership, publicity, and women’s advocacy, respectively. Tahir Mu’azu Turaki, national secretary for the network, stated that the group aims to boost civic engagement and grassroots organization, focusing on voter registration and community outreach to prepare for the upcoming vote.
