Isaac Fayose challenges Remi Tinubu’s request for musical artists to provide charity

Isaac Fayose has challenged First Lady Remi Tinubu after she urged musical artists to support the poor, arguing that government funds used for official vehicles should have been prioritized for citizens in need instead.

Isaac Fayose, sibling to ex-Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose, has publicly challenged the stance taken by First Lady Remi Tinubu regarding her appeal for Nigerian musicians to aid impoverished citizens.

In a social media clip, Fayose voiced his disapproval after the First Lady recently encouraged stars such as Burna Boy, Davido, and Asake to contribute their earnings toward charitable efforts for the public. Fayose highlighted a contradiction, pointing to the First Lady’s earlier instruction that state governors should procure new vehicles for APC women leaders across the country.

He argued that the funds allocated for these vehicles would have been far more beneficial if directed toward supporting the needy. Fayose stressed that the government should prioritize direct financial assistance to struggling citizens rather than shifting that responsibility onto private entertainers.
