Nigerian actor and musician Harry B Anyanwu has requested help from his Nollywood colleagues and the public for fellow actress Maureen Okpoko. Okpoko, a veteran in the film industry, has been living with vision loss for several years.
Sharing his plea in a video on X this Monday, Anyanwu explained that Okpoko needs financial help to fund medical care that could potentially restore her sight. He recently visited the actress in Enugu State to witness her situation firsthand.
Urging the Nigerian entertainment community to unite, Anyanwu stated that while she is currently blind, there is a path to recovery with proper assistance. He encouraged actors, actresses, and the general public to donate, noting that their combined efforts could provide the necessary treatment to improve her health and bring back her vision.
