Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has dismissed a plea from music star Davido regarding the upcoming Osun State gubernatorial election. Instead, he suggested that the singer should prepare to recruit his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, as a dancer once the election concludes.
This retort came after Davido held a press conference urging a specific, though unnamed, Imo State politician to ensure the August 15 election remains fair and free from outside interference. While Davido did not identify the governor by name, he called for peaceful proceedings and respect for the voters’ choice.
Represented by his aide Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, Uzodimma stated that Davido’s requests were misplaced and should instead be directed toward the Osun electorate. The statement further claimed that Ademola Adeleke is poised for electoral defeat due to widespread public dissatisfaction with his performance.
