Governor Sule Names Eight New Commissioner Nominees for Nasarawa

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has nominated eight new commissioners, who are set to undergo legislative screening on August 7, 2026.

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has selected eight individuals to join his executive cabinet for the duration of his term. The announcement was made in Lafia on Wednesday by Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, who shared the governor’s formal request during a legislative session.

The group of nominees includes Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo representing Wamba, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia, and Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi. Additional appointees are Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye of Obi, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba, Nawani Aboki of Doma, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim from Nasarawa, and Ashefo Daniel Paul representing Lafia.

Speaker Jatau instructed the Clerk of the House to inform these nominees that they must provide 30 copies of their professional resumes. They are scheduled to undergo a mandatory screening process at the State House of Assembly on Friday, August 7, 2026.
