Fulham has officially signed Spanish forward Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid. This move sees the 22-year-old link up once again with manager Alvaro Arbeloa. The forward finalized a contract extending through 2031, which includes an additional one-year option. During the previous season, Garcia recorded eight goals for Madrid, highlighted by a notable hat-trick against Real Betis.
Reports indicate the transfer fee sits at 40 million euros, or approximately $46 million, with Real Madrid securing a 30% sell-on percentage. Along with Garcia, Fulham added 21-year-old attacking midfielder Cesar Palacios to the squad. These moves occur as Real Madrid restructures under new coach Jose Mourinho, following two trophy-less campaigns. Arbeloa moved to the London club earlier this year following his tenure in the Madrid youth system.
