Hon. Adekunle Oladeji, the former Chairman of Aare Latosa Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Oyo State, has officially exited the All Progressives Congress (APC). He has now aligned himself with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). Oladeji previously held his leadership position during the administration of the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the state’s former governor.
The Aare Latosa LCDA is situated within the Ibadan North Local Government Area. Interestingly, Oladeji’s father, Alhaji B.A.O. Oladeji, maintains his status as a prominent stakeholder within the state’s APC and formerly served as the Action Congress of Nigeria’s chairman for the Oyo South Senatorial District.
Despite his father’s continued loyalty to the APC, the younger Oladeji has shifted his allegiance. He has publicly announced his backing for Bimbo Adekanmbi, the APM governorship candidate, and Governor Seyi Makinde. Oladeji confirmed his departure from the APC and transition to the APM in a statement shared on Saturday, noting the move is in preparation for the 2027 electoral cycle.
