Experts and PDP Leaders Warn Against Re-electing Nwifuru for 2027

PDP chieftains and analysts in Ebonyi state are calling for a change in leadership, arguing that the current administration has failed to provide adequate governance.

Public affairs analyst Paschal Oluchukwu and various Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders have declared that Ebonyi State must avoid repeating the perceived failures of the current administration come the 2027 governorship election. Following a meeting held on Tuesday, the group expressed strong disapproval of Governor Francis Nwifuru’s performance over the past three years.

Oluchukwu argued that the lack of effective governance necessitates a change in leadership, positioning the PDP as the superior alternative for the state. He emphasized that leadership requires a proven track record, asserting that governance should not be based on trial and error.

During the meeting, Christopher Ngwuta, a PDP chieftain, advised the Ezza Ezekuna people to remain skeptical of politicians promising them power by 2031. He characterized these pledges as deceptive, urging citizens to back Anyichuks, whom he believes is the only candidate capable of delivering results.

Former state lawmaker Ikechukwu Nwobo also spoke out, claiming that administrative decay has reached a critical stage in Ebonyi. He suggested that voters should prioritize rescuing the state from poor governance over concerns about zoning, warning that the populace cannot endure another four years of the current status quo.
